It’s amazing to think that these same waters 100 years ago produced fish that were 3 times this size! A fish like this is a glimpse into the past, a reminder of what was and what could be, and what is at stake. An early season float trip with Hill Country Guides resulted in this nice brown. Cold water in the Winter and early Spring often has fish glued to the bottom. This fish was on the drop-off in a very deep pool. A weighted streamer fished on a full-sink 300 grain line was the recipe for success.
